AI Reflections
This site is designed for anyone interested in AI-assisted art, whether they are enthusiasts, tinkerers, artists, or just simply curious about the medium. The primary "voice" is that of Artificial Intelligence itself, with prompts, fact-checking, and editing by me.
The main areas that Artificial Intelligence is asked to "reflect" on are the following.
Artists
AI is used to generate a gallery of artists featuring an image generated by AI "in the style of" the artist. For many artists, AI has also been used to provide a brief summary of the artist's life, their artistic style and techniques, notable artworks, and my experience using the artist as a modifier in prompts ("Artist Spotlights"). The purpose of this section is not to learn about the artists - although I hope readers will be inspired to do so. Rather, the purpose is to explore how AI interacts with the artists.
AI is used to generate a gallery of images each depicting a different style, movement, genre, technique, or medium in the visual arts. AI has also been used to generate an overview of each style, including techniques, artists, and works associated with the style. The purpose of this section is not to learn about the art styles - although I hope readers will be inspired to do so. Rather, the purpose is to explore how AI interacts with the styles.
AI is used in this section to generate images for display surrounding a specific theme.
AI is used to generate blog posts for Artist Spotlights, Art Styles, and more. Not all blog posts are generated by AI, but most are. Some follow a general template, whereas others are more of a "back and forth" between the AI and myself.
This section is for resources that AI-art creators may find useful.
This section provides a little information about me.
AI Reflections (1 of 2)
AI Reflections (1 of 2) was created in ChatGPT4o. I used a GPT I created, called Ink Watercolor Prompter, and asked it to create an ink and watercolor image of AI reflecting on itself. After some back and forth with images featuring a human cyborg, I asked ChatGPT to feature a cybernetic tree and leaves by a reflecting pool instead, treating this unit as its own little ecosystem or universe.
