Exploring Prompts - Ink and Watercolor #1 (Variations)

One of the intriguing features of working with AI-Assisted Art is that the same prompt can generate a seemingly infinite array of images. In general, the more specific the prompt and the more similar the settings, the more closely related the images will be, but unless you are duplicating the prompt and settings exactly, you can expect a notably different image.

Of course, there is also nothing keeping you from experimenting with variations in the prompt as well, allowing you to exert more or less control over the changes to the image. The following are a few variations of the "Ink and Watercolor #1" Prompt.

Rainy Day

Prompt

Nita Engle :: John Singer Sargent :: Eyvind Earle :: rainy autumn day :: modern chinese ink and watercolor painting :: wet on wet :: ink blowing :: paint splash :: paint drip :: melancholy :: moody :: warm colors :: vivid colors :: deep texture :: opaque layers :: masterpiece

The words in green were added, and the word "brook" was removed. "Modern Chinese Ink" refers to the more modern style of ink painting adapted by such artists as Zhang Daqian and Liu Haisu, although this style is overshadowed in the image by the selected artists. The next variation adds Zhang Daqian to the artist prompts.

Autumn Tree

Prompt

Nita Engle :: Eyvind Earle :: Zhang Daqian :: Zdzislaw Beksinski :: autumn :: modern chinese ink painting and watercolor :: wet on wet :: decoupage :: ink splash :: ink drip :: paint splash :: paint drip :: melancholy :: moody :: warm colors :: textured :: opaque layers :: masterpiece

Besides changing the artist, the technique of decoupage replaced ink blowing and ink splash and ink drip were added. Vivid colors is also omitted, and deep texture is changed to textured. The result is a more abstract image.

By the Sea

The last variation examined here explores changing the subject. In changing to a seascape, I kept almost everything else about the Ink and Watercolor Prompt #1 the same, but I changed the color descriptor from warm colors to cool colors. In future variations I also added in Winslow Homer, who was known for his seascapes.

Prompt

Nita Engle :: John Singer Sargent :: Eyvind Earle :: old man and the sea under grey and rainy skies with gray rocky shores and gray mists :: ink and watercolor painting :: wet on wet :: ink blowing :: paint splash :: paint drip :: melancholy :: moody :: cool colors :: vivid colors :: deep texture :: opaque layers :: masterpiece
