Large language model (LLM) applications such as ChatGPT may seem well suited to guiding close examination of an artwork. They can draw on extensive knowledge about artists and their work, and they can readily conduct a dialogue through Socratic questioning. Yet interpreting images has historically been far more difficult for AI than processing language.

Metamorphosis emerged from an exploration of Wifredo Lam through the Artist Discovery Studio GPT. While studying his work, I became fascinated by several recurring compositional ideas: unstable identities, repeated forms, and figures that appear perpetually caught between one state and another. These observations gradually became the foundation of a visual template - and, eventually, a style of its own.

The Existential Ink Style is an expressive, atmospheric ink-based aesthetic that explores themes of impermanence, vastness, and quiet resilience, often depicting fragmented figures dissolving into chaotic environments and negative space.
